Holiday Schedule
Duration: The Pongal holidays are scheduled from January 10, 2026, to January 16, 2026.
Festival Observation: The Pongal festival is observed on January 15, 2026.
Extension: While January 16, 2026 (Kanumu), was originally an Optional Holiday, the department has decided to extend the holidays through this date since it immediately follows the festival.
School Re-opening: All schools, regardless of management, are required to re-open on January 17, 2026.
