conduct Mock Test-Il for Class III students
All the District Educational Officers are requested to instruct all schools of all managements under their jurisdiction to conduct Mock Test-Il for Class II students to improve performance in FLS-2026 from 30 to 31st January 2026. The Mock Test-II
question papers will be made available before 28th January on the official SCERT website for use by all managements.

Further, it is informed that the headmasters shall provide one
printed copy of the question papers to the teachers handling Class III for conducting the mock test. The expenditure towards printing may be met from School Grants.
The study is administered by trained Field Investigators appointed by NCERT/PARAKH. Preparation involves SCERT, DEOs, MEOs, CHMs, HMs, teachers and parents.
Competencies Assessed – Language & Mathematics
Language Skills: Oral Language Comprehension, Phonological Awareness, Decoding, Reading comprehension, Oral Reading Fluency, Writing.
Math Skills: Numbers, Number Discrimination, Number Operations, Multiplication & Division Facts,Measurement, Fractions, Patterns, Data Handling.
Suggestive Strategies & Focus Areas
• Model lessons on competencies
• Daily practice using Item Bank (1 period for Language and 1 period for Mathematics)
• Group practice + 1:1 oral testing
• Maintain learner progress sheets
• Strong remedial measures for Teacher Support Learners
• Promote peer learning
• Provide immediate remedy and ensure student progress
• Conduct Mock Tests in given time schedule
SCERT has prepared and made available an item bank for children’s learning. Teachers are requested to help students practice the model questions from this item bank so that they can identify the level and nature of the questions and acquire the competencies expected of them.Special attention must be given to children who require teacher support.
